This unit explores the origins, diffusion, and history of agriculture. We will analyze the distribution of specific types of agriculture around the world and how climate and topography affect agricultural production, especially between MDC's and LDC's. We will also examine agricultural land use patterns and how technology is being used to feed the world's rapidly growing population. Current issues such as sustainable agricultural practices and the role of women are also covered.
